Melissa Breeden's Research Website

Greetings! I am a research scientist at the NOAA Physical Sciences Laboratory where I develop subseasonal forecast models for food insecure regions using machine learning techniques. I was recently a NOAA Climate and Global Change postdoctoral fellow in the NOAA Chemical Sciences Laboratory, where I studied the relationship between the seasonal cycle of the north Pacific jet and its impact on deep mass transport over western North America. I have also studies north Pacific blocking quite extensively, but really, anything involving rotating fluids holds my interest!
